NAXCEL is indicated for treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD, shipping fever, pneumonia) associated with Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Haemophilus somnus. NAXCEL also is indicated for treatment of acute bovine interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot, pododermatitis) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus.
! View manufacturer's label detailsDosage is 0.5-1.0 mg/lb (1-2 mL reconstituted sterile solution per 100 lb body weight). Treatment should be repeated at 24 hour intervals for a total of 3 consecutive days. May also be used on days 4 and 5 for animals that do not show a satisfactory response (recovery) after the initial 3 treatments.
